S1:E12 Chilling Cryptid Encounter in the Gorge

An adventurous married couple, Jaky and Nick, along with one of their friends, headed out in the wilderness for a bit of hiking and exploration. They had been to the Red River Gorge many times and were familiar with the trails, scenery and topography of the landscape. But something about this night just felt wrong. 

"Jaky recalls that she felt extra paranoid, 

and that something just wasn't quite right."

But they continued along the trail, determined to get to the top of the peak and check out some amazing stars; the allure of an awesome view of the Milky Way spurring them on. The night took a twist for the unusual when they encountered a strange girl in flip flops who seemed "off".  What was she doing up there by herself? And how did she make it up a difficult hike without water, or real shoes? The group of hikers said, "hello" and continued on their journey, with a weird feeling that something just wasn't right. They made it to the top but by that point, the sky had gotten cloudy and the vibe just didn't feel comfortable. 

"Out of no where they saw a cryptid unlike 

anything they'd ever seen. 

 

The two girls were frozen with fear. 

Until Nick urged them to RUN!"

This night remains seared in their memory to this very day. After listening to this incredibly frightening cryptid encounter we want to encourage you to hike in group of at least 3, but preferable 5 or 8 people for safety reasons.
